Asked for some referrals from a happy client and offered a discount to them for everyone that signs up with us. It worked. Closed 2 deals of $1,275/month each and upsold both with $1,400 Shopify Speed Optimization packages. (Canadian $$) = $5,350 gross profit in one day. Cracking start to the year and more on their way 🔥 Lesson: You gotta ask for referrals. People rarely give them to you on their own volition!

4th client in the bag. $1200 + 18% ad profit. I f**ked up with this prospect by last minute rescheduling our initial demo call, and then I ended up being late to the reschedule (because I was trying to close another client). I stayed persistent, sent 3 follow-ups along with a Loom and was able to get onto another call with these guys. This was a very eye-opening experience because I have now seen what an "ideal" client looks like. They never acted like the "big dog", they were respectful, open to ideas and saw this as a partnership rather than a short-term hire to "test us". Conversation was very easy with the CEO and you can tell they look at the bigger picture, rather than 1-3 week results.

I forgot to post it, just closed a new client 2 weeks ago. 1.600€/pm + 25% ad profit + 2.300€ for the website. That's for the first 3 months, after which it's going to be 2.500€/pm+ 20%. I made them an offer with the promise that they are going to give me 2 more clients to work with. They are one of the leading companies in the soft drinks sector in Spain. In the long term, this could be massive.

I can't remember the last time I signed in here, I apologize for not keeping you guys updated on my own situation or interacting with this group. So far I've onboarded 8 clients, and I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm also negotiating with a local bank to run their digital ads. I'm sure some might have felt this, But I'm definitely starting to understand the imposter syndrome when I got the email from the bank enquiring about the services. I've expanded my services recently to include: Email marketing, landing page design, and white labeling SEO. That's a brief summary on my situation and I'll make sure to set a side some time to engage here.

Just 9 months ago I started my ecom agency and now I am negotiating equity deals with founders and investors. Crazy how that works, college taught me none of this!!!

Similar to my last prospect that I closed: I'm only taking on this risk of a small service fee because I'm investing in the long-term potential opportunities this brand will open up for my agency. They know many other brands looking for an agency, and they sell an online course that organically did $40k last month which would be sweet to tap into. Key takeaways: - This was quite a tricky one because they had been burned by an agency in the past so I had to be agile in my pricing and structure. Due to their past pains, we agreed to shorten it to a 2-month contract. - Moving forward, I probably won't be taking on clients with this low of service fee, but I clearly asked if they would be ready to scale ad spend if they saw results, and they said yes - this gave me the confidence to move forward with them because they only lack reassurance due to their past burn. - For some reason, they didn't want to do ad profit, but instead, do a ROAS deal. In the long-term, I know this will benefit me, but in the short term, I am unsure if this will negatively impact their perception of the results we achieve in terms of ROI. @Tal Swicegood let the Feb race continue 😉

Been a while since I've posted here, basically been in ghost mode working on the agency Wanted to share a recent win though, hoping it could inspire/motivate some of you: I recently closed 2 $5k+ deals (3 month contracts) in just about 24 hours and with dope brands too, so the performance fees (5% with one brand & 15% with the other) can turn out to be juicy 🔥 Some of it is about timing (ie contacting certain leads at the right time) but 95% of it is about consistency in outreach, and that's what I've been doing for the last few months - and only up from here! I onboarded a contractor, kept close contact, and even sent the mf a Christmas present! All to be ghosted 1 week before signing my first client. No response and blocked on everything. Luckily, I had close contact with one of the other contractors and onboarded him with ease. I ended up liking this new contractor more than the first. It was a blessing in disguise. Off to a good February. $600 + 15% ad profit. This one really did test my negotiation skills and unfortunately I felt I could have gotten a better deal. But for long-term perspective, this will be a great brand to work with because they're ready to scale ad spend (doing 50k/month organically with decent margins). Lessons learnt: Enter negotiations with much more abundance (I failed to do this because I pitched this brand before my first client was signed) - I need to understand that I hold the power to their growth and I need to chase the no. When talking to the CEO, I already sensed that I was their preferred option, but I became too agreeable when negotiating. CHASE THE NO. At the same time, it was good that I was agile and willing to take on more risk because I saw that future potential growth.

Just signed a 12-month contract, $1800 + 20% ad profit. Backstory -> this was my FIRST EVER CLIENT CALL. I got in contact through ASF and was actually ghosted for the whole of December after they replied to the first email sequence saying they were interested. Never done sales in my life, I'm literally still working as an engineer so this is crazy. It did take 3 calls to close because the CEO got into an accident and we had to delay the last call for 1 whole week. Bonus -> just from 5 calls this week, I have 2 more prospects who are ready to start next month (just waiting on payment). "When it rains, it pours" - Jaime. $1.7K + 15% AP Starting 2022 off strong with another client. We had a follow-up call scheduled after the initial call...but they emailed me the day before saying "We've decided not to do it at this time". 2 Key Things Saved This Deal -> 1. I asked them why. I was respectful and genuinely wanted to know what influenced their decision. 2. After they told me, I discovered it was based on the length of the contract and told them I'd still like to have that scheduled call with them. I shortened the contract to 42-days instead of 90-days. They were happy with that! Just another reason to really watch the Objection Handling Module again and plan out how you're going to react to those objections. Also, don't be afraid to dig a bit deeper into rejection, even when it comes down to "I'm not interested" on your ASF. You'll get great advice and learn some things if you just ask "why?" Might have another boom post coming soon, 2022 is popping 🎉"

Hi team! I just finished a meeting and ...First Ecom client sign! Little guy (20k/month). But I think the variable fee may be interesting. It sells individual products, but its strength is the packs. The cheapest pack is € 60 with a 35-40% margin. The price range of the packs is 60-120€. Do you consider them to be high value products and the variable can be powerful? (I haven't signed the variable yet, I told you I wanted to query one thing) So happy! 🤙🏽

Been talking on and off for with these guys literally since August of last year, they kept wanting to jump on more and more calls and I just kept giving them value (a lot more value than their current agency was giving them.) not the biggest client but I signed them for 1800 per month plus 10% return on ad profit for a 3 month minimum. I think the main takeaway is that you have to keep doing the 'boring' work, there is no way around it, but its rewarding work when it gets done. Keep killin it guys!

Going HARD on my paid ads offer and landed 1 small client at $500 +20% Ad profit and yes my contractor will be paid that full $500. The only reason I took this client on is because I really wanted a brand in the gym equipment space and I think this company has a cool product. It is a high ticket item, so advertising this should be interesting, probably will discuss it with Jaime on the Tuesday call. I have a few meetings this week I am excited about, hopefully, closing a bigger paid ads client. Once you get those first few brands in your niche under your belt, it seems like it's a lot easier to pitch and come from a place of authority.

Hey everyone, hope you are all having an absolute killer of a week. Just wanted to hop on here and share what seeing an opportunity and taking advantage of it looks like. My first client needed a landing page built, and that ended up being a horrendous mistake as they were very indecisive and kept changing their mind, which ended up with me paying the contractor out of pocket and refunding the client to go elsewhere. I decided back then at least that I would not do that again, but the opportunity presented itself with my most recent client who is on WooCommerce, but was having issues. I decided to offer her a fully built Shopify store, that myself and my team would build for her to her exact liking. We ended up agreeing on $3,500 for the entire store, which is going to be an absolute blast that I am extremely excited about. This store will easily be able to hit those $M's every couple of months especially with the traffic being pushed by my amazing team. Wanted to post this to basically show that although something may not always go as planned, do not get discouraged, instead take advantage of your mistakes and do better next time. Hi team, today I have signed my first client!! I am extremely happy. After having my own agency I saw that the E-com approach is the future so I left all of it behind and went hard on this (having around 10 clients and a team working with me). If that wasn´t enough pressure, I decided to dropout university and leave my home town to be able to work 24/7 which was a very tough decision. Hello family. Today I have bought a little time to be able to pass by here. I would like to share a bit how my path is going. Currently I have managed to add 2 more clients this month. I currently have 3 active clients and some are cooking. Very happy that all the effort is paying off. These months ago I have been focused on creating a good demo call machine. These last 4 weeks I have had an average of 4-6 demos a week. The truth is that I am very proud of it. I continue to learn a lot in my day to day life and I would like to share some learnings: 1. Patience and perseverance, there is no secret. 2. Honesty and thinking about the long term. Do not sell yourself as one of the best agencies in the world, but as an agency that is starting and that seeks to grow together with its clients. From here, focus on giving the best results that speak for themselves. That allows you to go to big brands and not have to sell them because your testimonials and results speak for themselves. 3. Hi guys, just wanted to update you: Doubted the course a lot, but to be honest I did not put in the work in at all. But I took the time to understand my service properly (email marketing) and actually know how to deliver results and create a good offer. I set have a set up fee in place then charge based on performance. I actually do all the acquisition, retention flows / and campaigns but I have a copywriter and someone to design the emails. Aug: (2 welcome flow series, 2 Abandoned cart emails) October: (welcome series, abandon cart series, retention series emails, 1-2 campaigns a week) October: (similar to above) Set up fee of $700, $1k, $650 I'm currently looking to hire a media buyer and someone who can do creatives (product based creatives) to work alongside them. Forgot to post this last week. Locked in my 2nd client using the automated funnel. It came right down to the last email for them, where they finally booked in a call! As usual, it was a 2 call close. Low profit margin due to high COGS, but locked them in at $1000 per month with 20% profit incentive. I have now trained a VA to do all my prospecting for me, so that takes a lot of time off my hands and I can focus on getting results with my media buyer. 👌

First Client

Got my first client. It's a small win, currently charging them 200 USD per month with 20% Ad Profit fixed for 3 months. This covers all my costs (Media Buyer made an exception and is working at a discounted rate). After that, if the results are good, I'll be charging them a higher rate. I'll keep you guys posted how it goes, wish me luck!

2nd client

Signed a second client. Want to show everyone how far persistence can take you. I had a strategy session with him 1 month ago, he said he wanted to start. He didn't sign the contract nor paid the invoice but booked the kickoff session. Ghosted me there, I called him on his phone, he rescheduled and ghosted the second one too. I gave up hope and then 2 weeks ago I started emailing him. This was the most recent Email. Persistence does things you can never imagine. A lot of the time they are just super busy so they need your nudges.

After a few months of prospecting and sales, I found I was sticking to the book on prospecting and sales. Which was not the best idea. Got creative, starting trusting my instincts a bit more, started adding my own spins, and finally got the eureka moment, and now the loom requests, call bookings are pouring in. Iteration takes you a long way! This first win is dedicated to @Tal Swicegood, he helped me identify my main problems in sales and prospecting, gave me great resource recommendations, and wouldn't have been able to sign the client without him. Many more wins to come.

Finally signed my first client (cold email) after a long journey with SMMA. Gonna go even harder now, doing my best to bring this client the best result to then leverage the case study to close more clients. They are a small brand making only $18k per month rev. My offer was $1200 +10% ROAS. (3 months + Guarantee) They were excited to work together, paid on the spot. Business owner's a great guy and we really clicked.
